  • Revolution adds Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist to it’s 2015 staff!

    Revolution is excited to announce that Emily Eshleman, RD LDN, will serve as the club’s Dietitian/Nutrition advisor. Emily is a Registered Dietitian credentialed through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in PA, MD and WV.  Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University and completed supervised practice through the University of Maryland Dietetic Internship Program.  In addition to providing nutrition coaching to Revolution Volleyball Club, her clients include Penn State University’s Harrisburg Campus, JLG Industries, Revolution Wellness and numerous individuals seeking nutrition advice.  She also works as a clinical dietitian in long term care/rehab with Genesis HealthCare and is the founder of GoMacaroni.com, a local grocery delivery service. 

    Revolution believes Emily’s knowledge and guidance will be critical in helping our athletes reach their fullest potential on and off the court. 

    Nutrition Coaching

    Athletic performance is enhanced by optimal nutrition.  Understanding what to eat before, during and after exercise not only maximizes performance but improves recovery time.  Emily can provide information necessary to eat well in order to play well.

    Common Topics:
                      – Estimated energy needs
                      – Maintaining adequate hydration
                      – Carbohydrate, protein and fat requirements
                      – Dietary supplements
                      – Meal & snack planning
